Shanghai Rankings

VIT has been ranked as the 2nd best university in India as per the latest Academic Ranking of World Universities Shanghai.

Besides ranking as the #2 University in India, it ranks VIT in the band of 501-600 in the World. Shanghai ARWU ranks universities based on academic and research performance indicators, including alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes, Field Medals, Highly Cited Researchers, papers published in Nature and Science, papers indexed in major citation indices, and the per capita academic performance of an institution. They consider both quality and quantity of research outcome

The latest ranking witnessed a growth of 601-700 in 2022 to 501-600 in 2024 in the World VIT.
