"An overview of Campus Placements @ VIT in 2023-24,"

VIT Vellore has a strong placement record and provides excellent support to students, helping them secure their dream jobs. Despite recession and a tech downturn, VIT boasted an excellent placement record in 2023–24 that included high packages, marquee offers, and a large number of regular offers (around INR 3-5 LPA).

The 2024 placement season started with a bang, with our campus witnessing a range of exciting companies hiring our students, including two students bagging a CTC of INR 88 LPA (from Motorq) and 17 students bagging an INR 50+ LPA package. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also had a record placement drive, during which 963 students were hired and 103 of them received premier offers (INR 9 LPA). In addition, there were international placements in Japan and Gulf countries that included over 30 offers from Japanese companies for engineering students.

Overview of campus placements by Career Development Centre (CDC) at VIT:

Students received marquee offers (INR 20 LPA & above) along with other full-time offers. Additionally, many students received excellent industry internships. Most recently, VIT made significant strides in Biotech placements, with two M.Sc. Integrated Biotechnology students getting placements at WAFA Biological Laboratory, Dubai, UAE.

Top recruiters that hired our students include Apple, Mircosoft, Amazon, Intel, Motorq, Dell, Wipro, Deloitte, Qualcomm, SAP, NXP, Silicon Labs, Maruti, Reliance, HSBC, Bank of America, KPMG, Bank of America, BNY Melon, Ford, and Indian Oil, among others.

According to the inputs given by the Career Development Centre (CDC), “VIT is a place that gives opportunities to various companies to come and recruit our students. Despite the recession, over 50+ companies came to our campus to give placements and CTCs of above INR 20 lakhs.” He also added that many students have started preferring to get placed in core engineering companies because of their job stability. Further, he added that the “STARS students” are performing exceptionally well, with 80% of them being placed at reputed companies because of the special training and care provided by VIT (free education by management), coming from rural backgrounds.
