Graduates with an outstanding academic record in their bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology, or a master’s degree in engineering / technology in the relevant discipline, or M.Sc. (Data Science) / M.Sc. (Engineering) / M.S. [By Research] / M. Tech. [By Research] are eligible. Candidates must have completed their degree in full-time or regular mode of education with minimum 75% marks, or CGPA of 8

Financial Empowerment:

  • Scholars qualified through GATE (above 60 percentile) or NET are eligible for a monthly fellowship of up to Rs.50,000/-, while others receive up to Rs.45,000/- In addition to this fellowship, VIT extends substantial research grant opportunities, facilitating international collaborations and industry-oriented projects.
  • The Government of India has announced 10,000 fellowships over the next five years supported by a funding of ₹8,313 crore to strengthen research. Exceptional candidates may also opt for Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF),with stipend of Rs.70,000/- per month, empowering them to purse high-impact innovation.
